CBD oil has a long list of purposes and preparations. Some people prefer to buy candies and gummies for convenience purposes. Others vape or use oils. Just like any other type of cannabis foodie, some people prefer their CBDs included in their food, using the tastes of food to cover the taste of the oil.

Here are a few recipes that will get you started cooking with CBD oil. You’ll learn to make CBD butter and CBD oil fudge, which makes a great gift during the holidays to friends and relatives who also use CBDs to help with medical conditions.

Let’s start with CBD oil butter, the easiest thing to make.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own CBD oil infused butter:

Instructions:

  1. Cut the butter into tbsp size pieces
  2. Put the butter, water, and cbd oil in a small pot over low heat.
  3. Gently stir mixture every half hour. Make sure to use a metal spoon. It’ll take 3-4 hours to thicken.
  4. The water will evaporate and leave glossy and dense butter. Remove it from the stove and let it cool before you remove it from the pot.
  5. The butter will need a couple hours in the fridge before it’s ok to use. Store it in a tightly sealed glass jar.

Tip: Stirring a little honey into the finished product will improve the taste and make it yummy on bagels, rolls, and in cooking.

Next is fudge, another fun and easy treat. This is a great way to create even portions of your CBDs, even when you’re cooking with them. Just divide the amount of CBD oil you add by the number of evenly cut squares of fudge you create, and presto!

 

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar

5oz can Evaporated Milk

20-50 grams CBD oil

2 tablespoons salted butter

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups miniature marshmallows

1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate (chips or bark)

1 cup chopped nuts or candied cherries (optional)

 

Directions

Spray down and 8×8 pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper

Mix sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in medium saucepan. Stir constantly, don’t stop, til it’s at a rolling boil.

Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes then pull the pan.

Add in marshmallows, chocolate, vanilla, and optional add-ins. Stir hard until marshmallows are melted completely. Pour into your parchment lined baking pan and pop it in the fridge for 2 hours or until firm. Pull it out by the parchment and cut into pieces. Store in air tight container and label with date and amount of oil per piece.

 

Properly labeled, these treats will make adding CBD oil to your diet easy and simple. The labeling keeps family members and guests out of them. The butter can be cooked with. A popular use on chicken you plan to roast, covered in sage and other herbs that will cover any unpleasant taste. The fudge can be taken daily just like your gummies… a pleasant way to get your daily dose.
